Hot Disintegrator (Domtar type) Model 800-1

The Hot Disintegrator rapidly and safely removes latency in pulps by recirculating a pulp suspension at an elevated temperature. Disintegrating pulp at elevated temperatures reduces latency by removing the stress that is found in fibres that have been disintegrated at lower temperatures.

The instrument can be ordered with either a 3 litre or 7 litre stainless steel container. The 3 litre container uses a maximum sample size of 56 grams O.D. pulp while the 7 litre container uses a maximum of 136 grams. An optional hot water tank is also available to provide a constant supply of hot water required by the disintegrator (95 deg C).
